Summary:

EVVUS seeks an outgoing, positive and open-minded team member with a strong eye for design and strong writing skills to assist managing client social media accounts and digital marketing efforts preferably with 1-2 years experience managing social media accounts or working as a marketing coordinator.

The Social Media Assistant role currently is a part-time role, up to 20 hours per week, but has ability to grow to full time based on acquiring new projects and new clients within less than a year. The person in this role would work directly with and be mentored by the Founder + Creative Director and begin working on a contractor basis (1099).

Candidates will be asked to provide social media and writing samples with resume and cover letter. Candidates without sample work need not apply.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing client and company social media accounts

  • Write and create engaging blog content for client and company social media accounts

  • Support in building and executing social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification

  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action

  • Set up and optimize client social media pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the client’s social content

  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community

  • Create and keep up to date editorial calendars and syndication schedules

  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information

  • Assist in marketing related projects, client calls and off-site trainings as necessary

  • Edit and create custom imagery using various programs: Adobe Photoshop, Snapseed, Word Swag, Over, etc.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations

  • Must have a passion for all things social

  • Full English proficiency

  • Prefer 1-2 years experience as a social media coordinator, marketing coordinator, marketing assistant or related role.

  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist

  • Excellent writing and communication skills (must provide samples)

  • Adobe photoshop experience preferred

  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge

  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels

  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organisational ability

  • Excellent time management, organizational & administrative skills

  • Strong ability to prioritize and multitask

  • Ability to participate in group meetings

Compensation

  • $15-20/hr up to 20 hours per week
